Weird Real Time Google Search Result

My previous post How To Display A Drupal Block Only For Specific Nodes was listed in Google within an hour of me writing it. Seven hours later, strangeness occurs.

A website that is nothing more than a Drupal site with a feed aggregator indexed my content. It automatically links back to me with a short summary. I've got no problem with that. HOWEVER, Google has indexed the duplicated page as an older page than mine, yet my page is the original, complete content.

My page is displayed above the duplicated page, but it looks a bit odd.

As you can see, the bottom 2 results in this image. The bottom most is the duplicate, note that it is marked as "1 day ago" in age, while the one above (the original) is marked as "7 hours ago"

UPDATE

I've continued watching this search result over the last few hours. The duplicated item seems to have been corrected to the correct time of creation (it is now shown as being generated an hour after my content). The duplicated content is also falling behind as time goes on, so obviously there is an issue with real time search in the first 12 hours which eventually corrects itself.

It's interesting to note that the post you are reading now is indexed as related content (because of the link at the top of the article). In the search result summary, it uses text from the content of this post, where if I search for this post by name, it uses the meta description.

I think real time search must create headaches for SEO people. Their clients would be watching the search results and wondering why they are changing so quickly! Anyway, yeah - Google real time search results seem weird for the first 12 hours, but then start settling down to something more normal. While it seems like sites that are quick off the mark to duplicate your website could steal your position, it all works itself out.
