halo

The reason I bought my Xbox360 is finally here!  If I can sum it up in three words.  Pretty, Challenging, Fun.  I picked up my legendary edition gamepack - comes with a great collectors replica master chief helmet - and sat down last night to play.

There's a few slightly annoying things, like the x button used to do other stuff, and now I keep throwing my energy drain/gravity left /whatever away when I habitually reload my weapon.  But apart from that, gameplay is really similar to the other Halo games, but with much bigger maps, and it feels much more like you are in a warzone.

There's new bad guys, more elites, new weapons and vehicles.  I'm just playing through the game for the storyline at the moment, but I'm definately looking forward to going back and playing again from the start already.  I haven't even touched on the live stuff - and I'm pretty likely to get slaughtered in those games.  (quite frankly, while I like playing Halo, I suck against other players)

Anyway - I should get back to work so I can justify myself with a Halo3 reward at the end of the day!
