music

Interesting journey today has revealed 2 very cool API's that could be used for music site mashups.

Surprise, surprise. I'm working on the jukebox section of Sydney Party Bus's new website, and I've suddenly got the desire to build a music website.

I used to run a website called hottestgigs.com that I absolutely obsessed over until I let it expire and it got gobbled up by a squatter. Good thing too, because I really didn't have the resources to do anything interesting with it.

We all know that the smaller you try to make an MP3 file, you usually have to loose some sound quality.  Well not any more.  A company has put out a product called ShrinkMyTunes that  does an outstanding job of reducing the filesize of your MP3 without reducing the quality (too much).  Using the software, you can probably fit 4 times more music onto your ipod than you normally could.

Ideal for distributing audio via the internet - particularly podcasts!
