I don't want to under value myself anymore.

This post is more a self exploration than anything else.

I’ve had an enormous week.  I’ve been woken up by work calls, and worked through late most nights, yet I’m charging sweet FA for the hours I work.  Had I charged properly I should have earned $1900+ for the work.  I think I’m lucky if I earned 1/6th of that.  Please don’t do the math - it’s embarrassing.

So starting today, I’m doing something different.

1) I’m not doing any more work for free - ever. I want something in return for what I do - and not a good feeling of self worth, either products of equal value, or cold hard cash.

2) My clients know my hourly rate, but I’m too soft and leanient.  No more.  I’m charging for the time I work full stop.

3) asking for money up front.  Sort the buyers from the freeloaders.

4) Chasing late payers.  I don’t do it.  People owe me thousands and I let them use me as a bank.

You want a discount? Go to Dollars and Sense.  You want quality work?  Come to me.  You want me to drop everything?  Pay more.

Money upfront. No Discounts. Bill every minute. Don’t work for free. Ditch late payers.
