My Telephone Breakthrough!
I have a multiple line service referred to as "Duet" which is usually used where a business wants a separate fax line.
I use it to separate my business calls from my personal calls - but I've always had one issue. I always want to receive home phone calls, but don't always want to receive business calls.
I've always been able to call forward my primary number, but not the secondary number, which is the number I want to change without touching the primary number which is my home number. Talking to IINET (my fabulous phone company - no sarcasim - I really like them) they were unaware of how it could be possible to setup this arrangement. But I worked it out!
When I pick up the phone, I get line 1. To get line 2, I have to dial *11*3#, which gives me dial tone, but then identifies itself as line 2.
So NOW, once I am using line 2, I can dial my call forward code *21 xxxx# and forward calls to the second line wherever I want them, while keeping my primary line available for incoming calls.
So here's the code:
*11*3# (wait for dialtone) *21(number to forward to)#
To switch it off:
*11*3# (wait for dialtone) #21#
