Hidden Benefit Of Express Post
Submitted by Michael Phipps on 31 January 2008 - 3:56pm.
It only just dawned on me today that while express post costs a little bit more, there are benefits more than just fast delivery that justify the extra spend.
First, the obvious benefits are:
- Faster Delivery
- Trackable
The hidden benefit comes from the obvious benefits:
- Promotion. Fast Delivery makes people talk. The faster you can get it, the happier people are, and they tell their friends. This is a great way to generate word of mouth marketing, which we all know is very powerful.
With this new realisation, I am reassessing my stance on packaging and including catalogs with customer orders. People almost always share their new purchases with their friends. There is the whole keeping up with the Jone's thing that happens, so providing easy vehicles to make that happen will result in more sales.
